Mahakam 5 Days and 4 Nights Tour
Mahakam river which meander of thousands kilometers through one of the largest tropical rainforest in the world with twenty main Dayak
tribes, once feared as headhunters settle on this river basin. Varieties flora
and fauna live including the famous fresh water dolphin, proboscis monkey, black
orchid, etc. You will see and found the culture of Dayak tribe who has a lot of
sub ethnics with their own unique lives.
Day 01 : ARRIVAL IN
BALIKPAPAN
Meet at airport and transfer to Loa Janan for two hours
drive approximately, then start to cruise the mighty Mahakam river.

03 : MELAK-KERSIK LUWEY-TERING
Upon arrive at
Melak, transfer to Kersik Luwey park to see the rare black orchid and other
Kalimantan flora on the zone. Next, proceed to Barong Tongkok to visit old and
original long house of Dayak Tunjung with their unique ornament and shape.
Afterwards, drive to Tering to explore the villagers life where some old ladies
have long ear with heavy earing as social symbol of the culture.

Day 04 : TENGGARONG-BALIKPAPAN
Arrive at
Tenggarong, then proceed to Mulawarman Museum to watch the inheritance of Kutai
Kartanegara kingdom, the oldest Hindu Kingdom in Indonesia . Next, cruise
downward to Loa Janan, then continue trip to Balikpapan for having accommodation
