Itinerary Trip:
Activities Day 1 – HOTEL/HOMESTAY IN MOUNT BROMO AREA:
On the first day of the trip, we will be starting at 10 am from your hotel in Surabaya, if you are arriving on day 1 at Surabaya Airport or Surabaya Gubeng Train Station. We will follow your arrival time. Then we will drive for about 3-4 hours to reach our hotel/homestay in Bromo area.
Activities Day 2 – SUNRISE IN ROGOWULAN HILL:
On the second day of the trip, we will be starting at 2 am from your hotel/homestay in Bromo then we will be driving with the local jeep here to reach Kingkong Hill. From here, it will take about 45 minutes. Upon your arrival, we will take a motorbike taxi to reach Rogowulan Hill, it will take about 40 minutes. Rogowulan Hill is a hidden hill to see the sunrise and also the view of Mount Bromo and surrounding. It’s totally highly recommended for landscapers, adventure seekers or photographers.
The sunrise here sets about 5:30 am when the sun rises from the East, you will see the beautiful landscape here. We will be staying here until 6:30 am then we will be driving back to Kingkong Hill for having a look at another viewpoint before heading to Sea of Sand.
After enjoying the view from the viewpoint, we will be driving to a sea of sand by our jeep and we will be stopping in Jeep Parking Place then we will continue to hike the Crater of Mount Bromo. It will take about 45 minutes of Hiking.
After enjoying the trip, we will be back at our hotel/homestay for having breakfast, shower and rest.
At about 4 pm, our guide will invite you to Metigen Hill to see another view of Mount Bromo and surrounding during the sunset. Just for your information that is in Mount Bromo area, most of the afternoon time is foggy and just 30 % clear. So if you can see the sunset here, it’s part of our luck.
After enjoying the sunset, we will be inviting you to have a local dinner at the local restaurant here, you can choose from the low budget or high budget of food.
Activities Day 3 – MADAKARIPURA WATERFALL:
On the third day of the trip, we will start the trip from 7 am to the next destination that is Madakaripura Waterfall. Madakaripura waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls that is located in East Java. The drop in the water can be 200 m, so it’s a must-see waterfall in East Java.
The best time to visit this waterfall is 6-9 am, why? Because most of the visitors will come late after 9 am, so it will be less crowded and the view in the area is much better in the morning.
The drive will take about 50-60 minutes then we will take a motorbike taxi for about 5 minutes. Afterward, we will take a walk for about 15 minutes. The path is quite easy but 50 meters before the waterfall, you have to cross the river with a small waterfall that showers you a bit. It’s a kind of fun thing here. After enjoying the waterfall, we will back to our car and continue to our destination. That is Banyuwangi town where we will stay overnight here before heading to Ijen Crater on the next morning. It will take 5-6 hours’ drive.
Activities Day 4 – IJEN CRATER TOUR:
The trip will be starting about 2:00 am in the morning, we will drive about an hour to reach Paltuding/start point of the volcano. Upon your arrival in Paltuding, we will be trekking about 1,5 -2 hours, it depends on your pace. When you reach the crater rim of Ijen Volcano, our guide will take you to the best spot to see the sunrise and also the best view of the crater itself. Ijen Volcano has one of the biggest sulfuric lakes in Asia and the lake has a turquoise color with high acidity (0,5 Ph.). So it’s beautiful and also dangerous. After enjoying the view here about 7 am, we will go back to our car and drive back to Hotel/Homestay for having breakfast. At 11:00 am, we will be ready to escort you to Ketapang ferry port. From here, we will buy a ticket for you and you can take a ferry for about an hour. Upon your arrival in Gilimanuk Harbor in Bali side, you will be welcomed by our Balinese driver who is ready to escort you to your hotel in Bali.
